Birth Doula Support

A doula is a professional trained in childbirth who provides emotional, physical, and educational support to the birthing person, partner, and family in preparation for labor and birth. The purpose of a doula is to hopefully help you have a safe, memorable, and empowering birth experience.

Every person, family, and birth is different. As your doula, I will take the time to sit down with you, get to know you and your needs and take on whatever role you will need. Whether it's a calm presence or someone cheering you the entire time, I strive to fill the role that you most need. Although doula's can do a lot of things, there are not within our scope. I do not do provide any medical procedures, diagnosis, or give medical advice. I don't exclude or push away your birth partner from the process. It is part of my job to include them and help them be apart of your birth and feel like they have helped during the process. And I do not make any decisions for you regarding your birth.

As your birth doula, I will provide you with all the information you need to make informed and educated decisions that will work best for you. I can support you for your home birth, at a birth center, or hospital birth. If you wish to have an un-medicated birth, epidural, or plan to have a cesarean, I can offer you education and support whichever way you choose to birth your child. My desire and purpose is to provide you with the knowledge and confidence to birth the way you feel is best. My goal is that you know your options, feel supported in your decisions, and have a positive beginning to your life as a parent.

“Only with trust, faith, and support can the woman allow the birth experience to enlighten and empower her.”
